LE FORCOLE - The Workshop

Fondamenta Soranzo

If you are visiting Venice, you can see forcole being made at Saverio Pastor's workshop, Le Forcole, on the Fondamenta Soranzo - a quiet canalside near the Guggenheim Collection (boat stop: La Salute).  The workshop is open from 8am to 6pm (closed on Sundays and most Saturdays).

A variety of oars and forcole are on display, and most of these can be bought. Personalized orders can be made, and the forcole can be shipped to almost anywhere in the world. Postcards, posters, books, bookmarks and scale models of forcole are also on sale.

Scale models and the book Forcole can also be purchased at the online shop with PayPal or by credit card.
